One application is to be filed for each international class

Non-use period:
5 years
Duration of protection: 7 years after the filing
date and renewable for 14 years
Renewals:
1. Applicant’s name and address
2. Name of Trademark and Reg. No.
3. Classes and list of goods/services
4. Signed and sealed Power of Attorney, no notarization
Assignment:
1. Signed and sealed Powers of Attorney in the name of the Assignor
and the Assignee, no legalization
2. Original Assignment (or its Certified copy) or a signed and
sealed Deed of Assignment, notarization is required
Trademarks
It is only possible for applicants to obtain protection of PCT applications
in Cyprus by validation of a granted European Patent.
Filing requirements – EP validation:
1. EPO Form 2006
2. Executed Power of Attorney bearing corporate seal
3. Translated granted European patent in Greek including description
of the invention, one or more claims and the specification

– payable from the 3rd year of protection up to the 20th year
Patents
Filing requirements:

3. Drawings or photographs showing the representation of the design

5. In the case where the applicant does not have his residence or registered office in Cyprus:
– full name and address of a resident in Cyprus and authorization by the applicant to act on his behalf,
– statement by the applicant for accepting the jurisdiction of the Cyprus Courts
Applicants eligible for an application:
Individuals who are residents of or have their usual residence in Cyprus or in a EU Member State;
Companies or other legal entities that have their actual industrial or commercial establishment in Cyprus or in a EU Member State.
Duration of protection: 5 years after the filing date
Renewal: 4 times for period of 5 years
